2 Days traveling in London City by coach and minibus

London is the capital of England and it has a rich history and culture. The city is filled with a wide range of activities that you can do which means you can spend months in the city without seeing everything it has to offer. This 2-day itinerary features some of the major attractions to explore in the city.


Itinerary


Day 1


You can start your day by heading to Hyde Park which is among the Royal Parks in London. You will enjoy the serene vibe of the park and it is a nice way to introduce you to the city before you enter the hustle and bustle part of the city. After the park, you can then stroll through the Green Park and then explore the Buckingham Palace. The palace is the official residence of the monarch filled with over 775 rooms. If you are lucky, you will also get to enjoy the Changing of the Guard ceremony that takes place every day in the summer and on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays during the winter month. If you have enough time, you can also go for a little stroll at St James Park where you can sit on one of the benches with ice cream and just enjoy the lovely scenery.



You can then head to Westminster Abbey which dates back to 1245 and it is the coronation church of the country since 1066. The church houses the graves of past monarchs and notable figures in the country. After you are done with the exploring, head to the Houses of Parliament located in the Palace of Westminster. This is the seat of the British government and the building has a fascinating Gothic architecture. Big Ben can be found next to the Houses of Parliament which is popularly known all over the world. Head for lunch at the Cinnamon Club before you then continue exploring by visiting Trafalgar Square and the National Gallery. The next destination is the London Eye where you will enjoy panoramic sunset views of the city.

You can then to Oxford Street which is considered to be among the best destination to go shopping. After window-shopping, you can have fun at Piccadilly Circus located down Regent’s Street. Next up is Leicester Square filled with numerous cinemas and restaurants. Eat dinner in one of the restaurants in Soho before you then enjoy late-night cocktails at one of the numerous bars in Soho.



Day Two


Wake up early and start your day by heading to the Tower of London where you will get an insight into the history of the city. The tower of London has gruesome past and it now houses the relics like the Crown Jewels. After exploring the tower, another destination to go is the iconic Tower Bridge. The bridge offers the chance to take Instagram-worthy pictures. You will then head to the shard which is the tallest building in London. The building offers bird’s eye views of the city up to 40 miles from the levels 69 and 72 of the building. Head to the Borough Market which is a popular food market in the city and not far from the Shard for brunch.

After brunch, your next stop will be at Tate Modern that is filled with modern arts and its collections features works from artists like Pablo Picasso, Andy Warhol, and Mark Rothko. You can then stroll across the Millennium Bridge to St Paul’s Cathedral which is among the most striking building in the city. The building has been built and rebuilt on numerous occasions. Your next stop will be in South Kensington where you will find numerous museums to explore. Some of the museums that you can visit here are the Natural History Museum, the Science Museum, and the V&A museum. Since you are on a two-day itinerary, you can then choose one of the museums.

You can then head to the Kensington Palace and Gardens. You can start by exploring the Palace grounds by wandering around the garden. You should make sure you do not miss the Albert Memorial which was constructed by Queen Victoria in memory of her beloved husband before you then head to the Kensington Palace which is the official residence of Prince William and Kate Middleton. You should also make sure you visit the Royal Albert Hall that is situated across the road from the park. You can then end your tour by visiting the Churchill Arms which is among the most charming pubs in London.
